My part of an art trade... And a beginning of a little series!
For an art trade, *ThreshTheSky (who is really talented, go check out that art!) asked for something Les Misérables 10th Anniversary Concert related. I have to admit something: I haven't watched the full TAC in years. There are performances I enjoy, but sadly seeing the musical live multiple times during the last few years has sucked the magic out from watching the concert DVDs for me.
But even though I'm not a huge fan, TAC is iconic. I thought, since it's fun trying to draw real people in a cartoonish style, I could try drawing the TAC cast. Here's the first set, with Philip Quast as Javert, Colm Wilkinson as Jean Valjean and Ruthie Henshall as Fantine. Not perfect, but it was fun attempting to draw them!
I'm on Easter holiday and only have a laptop with me. The screen doesn't display colours quite correctly, so I can't but hope this doesn't look hideous. If it does, I will fix it when I get back to my computer.

The 10th anniversary concert isn't my favorite, but that's partially because it was poorly recorded: in the video, I can't hear all the singers, and in the album, you can barely hear all the orchestra.
Otherwise, and don't kill me, I don't really like Colm Wilkinson...yeah. Don't kill me, please!
On the other hand, we have Lea Salonga, Jenny Galloway, Alun Armstrong, and the amazing Hannah Chick...so I didn't hate it, it's just not my favorite.
