And for today's Les Mis mistletoe kiss, Jean Valjean and Javert!
I didn't even realize how strongly my mental Valjean has been influenced by Alexander Lycke until drawing this. My mental Valjean has never been a particularily clear figure, and since Alexander just is JVJ to me nowadays... Maybe it's just natural that I draw his version when I draw Valjean. Kind of awkward though. Usually, I don't try to draw any particular actor when I'm doing a scene that's got nothing to do with the production they're in, but here it just kind of happened, costume and all. Also, my mental JVJ is now taller than anyone else, just like Alexander. Javert's not based on anyone in particular - and neither is he among the best Javerts I've drawn. Oh well. At least I like JVJ here.
I'm not wild about this pairing. I just don't see how it could happen. Nothing much more to say here, actually, just not my cup of tea.
