The premiere for the Tampereen Teatteri Les Misérables was on Friday, and it was amazing. My review can be read here, but here are some silly sketches inspired by the premiere.
The Valjean and Javert drawings poke fun at the Finnish translation. The English quotes are direct translations of the Finnish lyrics. I guess they can be understood in a variety of ways. (Well, Javert doesn't really sing "you cause it" but "that man causes it" – but since he's referring to JVJ in any case...)
Valjean with gun was a real moment from the show: after the Rue Plumet attack, the Finnish JVJ comes to Cosette's rescue bearing arms (and looking rather paranoid, if I may add). And Enjolras? Well, our Enjolras has pretty hair.
The "I will do the spy" line just won't cease to amuse.
