Totale Finsternis by Starlene Totale Finsternis by Starlene
Okay, I know I'm drawing way too much these days, and all I draw is stuff that's not in any way related to my illustration project...
It's a combination of getting rid of my stress, which drawing helps me to do - stuff like where-shall-I-study-after-high-school is getting on my nerves a bit - and just not caring anymore: I've only 16 days of high school left! I admit I skipped my maths homework in favour of colouring this.

So, Sarah and Count von Krolock from Tanz der Vampire.
This is heavily based on one of the promotional photos of the Finnish production - though, in my usual fashion, I worsened it along the way. First of all, I realize I shouldn't have even tried to colour the blingies hanging from the chandeliers by hand - if I'd left it for Photoshop, I'd been able to make the background colour more smooth. Also, I made Krolock way less awesome than he really is. Sorry.

Tanz der Vampire is not mine. See the picture I used as a model at [link]
Will I do my homework tomorrow or will I just procrastinate again? Time will tell!

...you know, I really like good vampire tales too much to have left this musical alone for so long...

Can I just say how much I love their hair and expressions! The haaaaair... Also, his dressing gown. What i wouldn't give for a fabulous dressing gown like that! It must have just about made your hand fall off to draw it, though!

As long as you familiarise yourself with any of the European versions, you'll be fine (I don't know if there are bootlegs of the whole show floating around, but seeing how popular it is, I suppose there are)... Just don't start with the Broadway version. It's called Dance of the Vampires too, but that's about the only similarity to the European one - they mutilated the plot to the point where it's not recognisable as the same thing anymore. It closed after two months or so, luckily... Tanz'd deserve a proper English production, though!

But hey, thanks so much! Yeah, the dressing gown was a bit of a challenge to draw...

No idea what this all is, but the chap with the long black hair has a very cool pattern on his clothing. Kudos on drawing that.

It's only the second-best musical I've ever seen! ;) But yeah, thanks - the pattern almost killed me, but whatever, it looks neat now.

I adore this dress!
I mean, I really like the dress Sarah is wearing i the musical but this drawn version is as great as the original. I especially like the way you did the folds. Same for Krolock's cloths.

Thanks so much, I'm really glad you like! The clothing from the Finnish production was a great inspiration, it's so lovely to look at!

Hmmm... I don't know the finnish production very well.
Maybe I'll search for a few pictures...
You're welcome!
