Who will you draw for the Visual Petition for an Extended Cut of the Les Mis Movie? Deadline March 10th – get your character in before we send the petition to Tom Hooper!

It's weird how rarely I draw Les Mis characters the way I imagine them in my head. Very often, I'm basing them on a specific production or actor. But these guys are pretty close to what I imagine them looking like – even though they're all inspired by someone, too. My mental Jean Valjean is very close to Alexander Lycke, at least when it comes to height... These days, my Marius is obviously heavily inspired by Eddie Redmayne, and Éponine has always looked a little like Nancy Sullivan to me. And hey, glad that the movie has made dressing Enjolras to something else than the xylophone vest a bit more common! (You probably notice which production's wardrobe my Enjolras stole.)
