I'm Not that GirlNellie Lovett wiped down the countertop. It had been a busy day and she was working well into the night to make sure that all the tables were scrubbed thoroughly. It was a tiresome job, so she had let her thoughts wander. She remembered the first time she met Benjamin Barker.
Hands touch, Eyes meet
She remembered how he had introduced himself with a handshake, how their eyes had met for the first time.
Sudden silence, Sudden Heat
Mesmerized by those eyes, she had stared, feeling herself blushing.
Hearts leap in a giddy whirl
She could feel her heart thundering against her chest and suddenly, he was the only thing that she focused on, everything else becoming a blur.
He could be that boy
Then, from behind him, came a woman in a yellow dress, carrying a little baby in her arms. He smiled even more as he put an arm around the woman. "Meet Lucy and Johanna."
But I'm not that girl
She shook her head sadly, dropping the cloth onto the table. Pushing open th

On My Own: Nessa RemembersIn the last moments of my life, I remembered everything; everything as it should have been. There was a young girl, her face still shaped with a child-like roundness, running with ease through the fields towards a woman standing underneath a tree. She embraced the child, fingering the flowers that were woven into my hair, swinging me round as I giggled. Then I remembered him. I recalled perfectly the pain I'd felt when I realised his heart belonged to another and not to me. Yet I still lied to myself. I pretended he loved me...
On my own,
Pretending he's beside me,
All alone,
I walk with him 'till morning...
I lie silently in my bed, staring blankly at the high beamed ceiling. Suddenly he is there, standing at the foot of my bed, staring at me unblinkingly. He walks past the wheelchair in the corner to stand beside me. He seems so present that I almost cannot believe that he's not.
Without him,
I feel his arms around me,
And when I lose my way,
I close my eyes,
And

Fantasies Come True A Producers Fic
Leo was once again at his desk, toiling over the accounting books for the newest show he and his business partner Max were producing, entitled Maim. While the rehearsals for the musical were running smoothly and everything seemed to be coming together, the books were a mess. the director of the show, Roger, had been a little too indulgent with sets and special effects, and it was no easy task for Leo to make the stretched-out budget work. He nibbled on his pencil and peered over at Max, who was "busy" taking a nap on the sofa.
"I'd sure like some tea with my biscuit," he mumbled.
Leo chuckled. Max was just rambling in his sleep like usual.
"I like the white shoes the best."
The accountant took his pencil out of his mouth, and after staring at its bite marks in disgust, turned his attention back toward the books.
"I love you, Leo."
Leo almost dropped his pencil. He didn't believe his ears. Couldn't believe
